On the many journeys to the mountain for another snowboarding adventure, we always hit this spot. Its a small, usually very busy Mick D's. We use their free WiFi and order a couple buck doubles. A go-to snack meal for on the road. He has 3 and I have 2. This is always the first place we get out when the snow is on the ground. We leave one area, and it's a beautiful 40-50 degrees and we stop for a bite and there is snow and it's a beautiful freezing temp.
I love it.
This one has a rustic interior with pictures on the walls of the original mining companies and native Americans from the area. Stories about the way of life long ago pepper the walls. It's trying very hard to be quaint for a large restaurant chain.
Whether or not they've succeeded, they have become a tradition this season. Different locations, same order, same regret about the calories, same great taste, but only because we're usually so hungry almost anything would satisfy.
