Post a picture a day for 365 days.
Part of my bucket list includes a project such as this.
It will take commitment, artistic prowess and time. To start something new and commit for a year is ambitious. But I could use a little more ambition in my life and artistry, for that matter.
The purpose here is to restore some of that artistic minded part of me. Forcing myself to pick up my camera and shoot something. Anything. I am anticipating some real duds, a whole heap of medicocracy and maybe, some brilliant images or thoughts. Of all the images I see daily, what makes this worthy, why pick this one. Then there is the very real chance I will get caught up in life and forget. Thinking of the year ahead and making predictions, this challenge will at times feel overwhelming. If I fail 364 times, producing image after image of trash, but that one picture could change everything, inspire anything, mean something monumental. Then it was worth it all.
My constant comfort is a reoccuring thought.
"Kid, it's only ONE picture."
My response to myself is...
"a thousand words, my friend, a thousand words."
